The driving force behind providing rapid, skilled, and professional care is the dedicated men and women of Hampton Lakes Emergency Squad.

Our team answers the call, day-in and day-out, wherever and whenever called, our members have the knowledge and skills to handle any emergency.

HLES is comprised of a diverse team of members who make the wheels turn.

As a hybrid department, HLES is staffed by both volunteer and career members, each serving to compliment each other and work in harmony to place YOU first.

There are numerous ways to get involved and they don't all mean riding an ambulance. We need support staff to help ensure our trucks run, building and grounds are upkept, the community is educated, our budget lines up, and more including fundraising.

Our membership classifications define each role and how you can help give back to your community!

Membership Categories

Volunteer - Contributory / Administrative

Keeping the squad going is a full time job in itself. People often forget that in additional to answering emergency calls, we have to handle all the work of keeping a business running. This includes maintaining finances, purchasing, fleet maintenance, human resources, recruiting, public education, meeting, maintaining the building and grounds, and much more.

If you have a skill or want to get involved in other ways than serving on the ambulance, we have plenty of opportunities for you!

Give back to your community in the way that suits you best.

Volunteer - Operations

Maybe you want to get involved in emergency response but don't have the skills, certifications, or knowledge base to do so.

We accept untrained persons and provide all training free of charge.

You'll start out doing a "ride-along" to dip your toes in the water.

Click here to download the observer waiver of liability.

If you like that, you can join as a volunteer and we will get you trained and riding. For those interested, once a slot opens, we will get you enrolled in EMT School.

The operations side of our volunteer membership include the following positions:

  • Junior Member (Age 16-18)

  • First Responder (CPR and First Aid Certified)

  • EMT-Trainee (Untrained but willing to enroll)

  • EMT (Trained and Certified)
